Property Investment Course (more legitimate than the norm)

Property investment courses have been discussed on this board previously, and I agree that they are generally a scam, in fact many people have been left in serious financial trouble after purchasing apartments in over developed inner city schemes where prices have fallen in a rising market.

However, does anyone have any comments or experiences of the following course;

www.bewarethesharks.com

These courses are run by Dominic Farrell who is the author of "The Jet to Let Bible"

Exactly what secrets do you think these people have?? Oh, maybe they will offer you a good deal on a city centre new build apartment?

The only people who make money of these BS courses are the people who run them.

    Avoid!
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

you could always read a book.

    or use common sense.
  • Jon, I am aware of the companies who attempt to sell new build apartments, and I am acutely aware of the logistics of why these are bad investments.

The course I mention appears to cover the fundmanetals, such as market analysis and identifying a good deal.

That is why I am asking if anybody has any experience of it.

i did Dominics course about 4 years ago - the part that i found incredibly useful was the psychometric test - before you do the course, you are asked to fill in a questionnaire, and when you get to the course, you are given the results - which are analysed by and produced by a psychologist who was part of the team on the day of the course - you could ask him whatever you wanted. The questionaire uses the DISC profile of whether you have what it takes to be a self employe - whether you are a decisive, self-determining entrepreneur - it helps you evaluate your attitude to financial risk-taking, and it makes you look at your attitude to debt and finance.

Dominic looks at various markets, and looks at economica factors in favour off, and against, various regions, and he gets you to analyse deals in a down to earth practical manner - most useful if you have no experience of this type of mathematical spreadsheet.

Dominic does have developments for sale in Cyprus - but he has been running these courses long before he bought in cyprus

there are no secrets in property - but it is such a huge business, that learning from different experts has to be a good thing

I don't have the backbone to be a landlord or property developer or speculator.

    Fact.

    I know what I do well and I know what I don't.
