Bedroom wardrobes

I am currently in process of getting a few quotes for new bedroom wardrobes. I have noticed there appears to be two common materials and processes used, some companies are using vinyl wrapped units and others are using MFC board which I believe is also called PVC edged.

Obviously all the companies are saying there's is better, but what actually is a better product? Is there a difference in quality?

Thank you

Sliderobes always for me - a bit more than the usual, but well worth it and 10 years guarantee

    They're all overhyped.

I've commissioned truly bespoke wardrobes for clients that are far better value than any of Hammonds, Sliderobes or Sharps.   None of those are bespoke at all. They're exactly the same as Ikea or B&Q, with salespeople that are not designers.

We opted to pay our carpenter to make Ikea carcasses inbuilt - in a loft with sloping ceilings.  They are absolutely wonderful and the best value for money before you go truly bespoke.

With kitchens, I say that things are much of a muchness across the board.  With wardrobes, companies are seriously taking the michael.   Just watched a potential client drop £17k on wardrobes that won't look a patch on what a great carpenter with simple materials will do.

Most of us don't have the confidence to find a decent chippie, though / are aghast at the costs.
