Smart glass window?

Has anyone had smart glass put in? What’re your thoughts on it? Was it vastly more than standard double glazing or just a fraction?

We’re redoing our kitchen, and one of our windows sits directly on the pavement, I hate the complete lack of privacy but I also hate blinds. I was thinking maybe smart glass would be an option, we could still look out but turn it opaque when we want privacy?

I have seen double glazing with thin slatted blinds between the glass which looks good and of course the blinds do not get dirty.

I like these but I would question the affordability.
