Barclaycard CEO email address - not to be found anywhere?

Does anyone know where to find the email address for the CEO of Barclaycard? I've been searching the internet for it, and the only email address I thought might be correct - barry.rodrigues@barclays.com returned an error. I've tried asking Barclaycard on twitter and they can't/won't give me the address. I find this really odd, as it's quite easy to find the email addresses of many other CEOs of banking and financial institutions online.

you do know that ceo's of companies that size won't actually deal with you personally. the exec team is the best outcome but most likely a general manager who will/may pass it to a team leader who will/may then give it to a general member of the team. ceo's are there to manage the company not deal with customer issues.1

You'll be unlikely to find it I'd imagine, and also note that Barclays are not the same as Barclaycard - so even with the CEO of Barclays email - if it's a Barclaycard issue they wouldn't help anyway. If you're wanting to escalate a complaint for some reason - maybe give us a very rough outline of what you're trying to achieve, and what you've tried already, and we might be able to suggest a course of action that'll get your best chance of a positive result.1

Emailing CEOs does nothing, it's the correlation = causation fallacy that people email a CEO and then their complaint is resolved therefore emailing the CEO fixed the issue. The CEO of any firm of that size doesn't read all his emails personally as he will get thousands, he has a PA to do it. The PA will see a customer complaint email and simply forward it onto whatever complaints team they have been told to, the complaints team will then deal with it and the CEO will never know anything about it.1

Barclays are never going to give out an individual employee's email address because it's a cyber security risk. Plus, they'd get inundated with emails from angry customers which the complaints team are meant to be handling (it's called delegation).
First of all, you should raise any complaint with the Barclaycard through the usual channels. If you're really that cheesed off with how Barclays / Barclaycard have handled your complaint, you should raise it with the Financial Ombudsman Service rather than embarrassing yourself by trying to email the CEO.0 -
CEO emails are frequently listed on websites, it's not a risk to any company with a half decent IT setup. Barry Rodrigues was announced as the CEO for Barclaycard International in 2017... presumably you are UK based not international?
Barclaycard is no longer a separate company in the UK and therefore it is unlikely to have a CEO. It is probable that its run as a business unit or such and therefore likely to have a MD or equivalent but that layer of management below the executive is more difficult to understand. The Exec team can be seen on Barclays Leadership | Barclays (home.barclays) and some googling easily identifies the Group CEO email address and most the other members.
As to if its worth reaching out to them? Clearly you dont get a personal response from them 99.99% of the time (I have known one or two that have) but in most cases it does go to a higher complaints team. It will certainly be quicker than going to the FOS and wont stop it going to the FOS afterwards if you still arent happy. More senior doesnt mean they will come to a different conclusion!0 -
Indeed. When I was working for a digital marketing company someone emailed the CEO of a client's parent company. The email got picked up by the CEO's PA and forwarded on to an operations manager at the company I was working for. The person was demanding compensation because she claimed she had unsubscribed from email newsletters but was still getting them. It turned out that she hadn't clicked the opt out link in any previous newsletter or sent an email asking to be opted out, so despite her compliant going to a CEO it resulted in the same outcome that would have happened anyway - she was removed from the mailing list and sent a reply saying that she had been removed from the mailing list and that there was no record of her requesting to opt out previously.sonofmerton said:you do know that ceo's of companies that size won't actually deal with you personally.1 -

Numerous companies forward them immediately to a high level complaints or executive team who can do far more than normal customer services can. I've used it several times and yes, the response I got categorically far exceeded the responses I received by doing it the "normal way".
Many CEOs do in fact reply personally as well, though I'd never actually bank on it.1
