Argos Faulty Laptop

Hi Im hoping someone can help me with what my options are!
I bought a laptop from argos click & collect in August 2020, and the keyboard has now failed (random numbers & letters), ive tried the fixes on the manufacturers website but it must be a hardware issue.
Ive been reading through the consumer rights section and it looks like because its over 6 months old its a repair replacement rather than a refund, if I took it back to the store are they likely to give me a laptop replacement? or will they insist its sent away?
Im working from home at the moment so cant be without a laptop?
Can anyone help with what my next course of action should be?
