Clarify on timer for Consumer Rights

Hello,
I was hoping someone could help me clarify the 30 day return period specified on consumer rights?

I purchased and collected an item on Saturday 5th June.

I have 30 days to return this item.

Going by logical counting, Saturday is day 0, Sunday is day 1 making the very last day (day 30) I can return is Monday 5th July.

Is this correct?

Its only until I've started to research return dates I noticed people count things differently! Either including the date of delivery/collection as day 1 or excluding this date and starting the countdown the day after.

Any clarity would be much appreciate.

30 days is for rejecting goods for being faulty etc... why do you think its going to take you exactly 30 days to work out if its got a problem or not?

    Thanks for replying.
Its mainly for clarity for the future as I am in the middle of housemoving so like to be aware of how long I have for all the goods we have purchased.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride

6th is counted as day 1 yes. As timer starts the day after delivery (in this case with delivery being handing the goods over to you in their store).

If it is a change of mind or not suitable return then you have 14 days to cancel and notify you want to return and 14 more to return it.
