Best place to just hold shares

I recently opened a thread here looking for more information on the interactive investor for my father, and people kindly were also suggesting places I could transfer his shares too that would be more suitable as he is not planning on doing any trading only holding onto the shares right now.
Many places  and information were suggested and offered up, and Eco_miser kindly linked me this:

but as I'm not familiar with stocks and shares trading the actual fees involved were not entirely clear to me.
If all I did was hold some shares in a Hargreaves Lansdown account for instance listed as such:

how much would the annual charge be?
What should I be looking out for if I want somewhere with the minimum fees and fuss to simply hold onto his shares?

Convert them into paper shares was also suggested, which from my unfamiliar investigating seemed very rare nowadays and not something the II obviously seems to do.
