Email confirmation of receipt of Will

Does anyone have any experience of how long it’s taking to get the email confirmation that the Probate office has received the original Will? I completed the application online, there is no IHT to pay, & posted the original Will (which has been delivered/signed for) the following day (2 weeks ago). The application acknowledgement email states that I will get an email to confirm they’ve received the will within 14 days. As day 14 from date of delivery is tomorrow, & I haven’t yet received any email, does anyone know whether they are currently meeting this timescale?

It seems to vary the whole time, possibly depending on how many staff are there physically dealing with incoming hard copy post.Mrs_Tiggywinkle said:Does anyone have any experience of how long it’s taking to get the email confirmation that the Probate office has received the original Will? You know it's been received - and as you aren't even at day 14 yet, you are worrying needlessly.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!1 -
I never received an email (applied for probate Feb/Mar this year), so after around 14 days, can't remember exact timeline, I phoned then up to ask them to confirm if they had received the will, which they did. It's just my opinion and not advice.0

Don't think it's going to help, it's a 'how long is a piece of string question'.
9 days after completing it all on-line I got a 'received' email from probate registry & literally 3 minutes later I got 'approved' email. 3 days after that all the copies I'd requested arrived through the post.
In total 12 days, & that includes 1 day for my signed for next day delivery.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -
As in my other post on another thread, I've just had a similar experience - will sent special delivery this Monday, had an e-mail today (Thursday) from the probate office to say it had been received followed by one a minute later to say the application had been approved.SevenOfNine said:Don't think it's going to help, it's a 'how long is a piece of string question'.
