Unemployment and Sickness Cover

Just received a letter from the company I have my redundancy / unemployment cover with and they have increased my payment by over 50%.  I have never claimed but they are saying that this is due to increased claims during the pandemic.  Has this happened to anyone else?  No companies seem to be giving this type of cover at the moment so cant switch companies.  My job is relativity save but had this for over 20 years and feel this is the wrong time to cancel it.

    Mine tripled.....
They offered different options but same cover went from £50 to £150 a month.
To stay at £50 a month (which is where it has been for 5 years) I would need to reduce the window they paid out from 12 months down to 3.
I looked online to see if there was cheaper cover elsewhere and everyone has pulled the redundancy products.
I bit the bullet and paid, in the hope it drops next year or the year after.
