Landlady doesn’t want to repair

Hello,
I recently moved into one big house converted into 3 houses. One is ours, other one landlady and her daughter with family.

A few weeks ago we asked for shower repair as it will give only very cold or very hot water, nothing in between. We have a bath but it is very hard for me to wash, especially my hair as recently slipped on the stairs and broken my spine in 2 places.

The landlady said it is because pressure of the water and somone else could be using water in the same time so is nothing she can do.

Is there anything I could do about it as washing my hair is nightmare every single time :/

How is your hot water heated?  If you have a combi boiler with hot water temperature control you could turn it down before your shower so the hot tap alone is the temperature you want.  A faff, but maybe in your control as a stopgap solution.
A thermostatic shower valve might work - but that depends on your landlady at least agreeing to the work.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,
Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Was the property advertised as having a shower when you rented it?. As long as they have a bath i'm not sure whether there is any obligation to provide a working shower unless it was advertised to you. You could offer to pay for a new shower yourself, but if it is because of a water pressure problem then that might be quite expensive.

Yes we tried it with the combi boiler but doesn’t change anything unfortunately. She apologised but won’t carry on with repair or replace the shower.

We found this property by someone we knew. On that time we lived far away so my friend went to see that for us and revorded us a video. They have been carrying works in the bathroom and other room on that time. The property hasn’t been advertised online.

When I had this problem as a landlord the only solution in the end was a pressurized cylinder and new boiler, the tenants who complained the shower was unacceptable (Not as bad as yours) I think it costs me c6K in total !, they relocated shortly after !, No one else had complained I just wanted a quiet life.

The boiler honestly looks like new but shower falling apart. I think if she just fix the shower we be fine.
