Waiting for searches. Plus pre-contract enquiries.

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Thank you, the searches and enquires have all been completed by the solicitor. We were only told this on Friday though. Are we just waiting for an exchange date now?

Are they complete or is it just that your solicitor had sent it off?

We found enquiries and searches created some backwards and forwards action between solicitors until they could produce the draft contracts.

Our FTB, albeit many years ago now, took about 12 weeks and was pretty straightforward although our mortgage wasn't as quick as yours.

Email your solicitor and ask for a status update.  Really we can only speculate.

you are doing incredibly well if everything is done and dusted that fast.  Is there a chain above you?

Silly things can hold it up, it’s different for every transaction so only your solicitor can give you a true status update

Thank you, we have sent an email but they’re on annual leave until next Friday so we’re just intrigued on what we had left.

Nope no chain above us so we’re hoping it won’t take too long 🤞🏻

Has your solicitor sent you their Report on Title, together with the contract/transfer/mortgage deed for signing, plus copies of other documentation.
