Paint colour match service recommendation please

I am looking for a cheaper alternative to Bristol Paint Ultramarine 1035.
I know Valspar will colour match if you take something in to store to scan but I don't know how good their matching service and I have also read less than favourable reviews of their emulsion.
The Paint Shed and Decorating Centre Online both offer to colour match to the name and brand of a paint - has anyone ever done this and how accurate was it?
Thanks in advance

I've done this with Johnsons paint and its fine.
There is a standardised code when it comes to colours called a RAL number, and I've no reason to believe that any of those providing a mixing service fall short of the standard. Once its applied it always looks different to the swatch (darker, I find) but unless there is that colour already on the surface you're going to paint, I doubt you'll notice any slight difference. No man is worth crawling on this earth.

I've done it at the Johnsons trade centre too. There's a Dulux lovely pale coastal blue. I wanted an outdoor eggshell. The first time I went I took the lid of my Le Cruset kettle which caused much laughter but the second time I took the free sample card available online from Dulux. It's a few years ago now but I think you could order 3 sample cards which had both paint sample and colour code free and free RM delivery.pollyIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.1 -

They are the best bet for a half decent match. However, an ultramarine like the OP's, which is like Yves Klein Blue is nigh on impossible to match. The Little Greene Ultra Blue is a two part colour. It's literally two pots of colour, one painted over the other to attract that sort of vibrancy.I have it in one of my secret cupboards... (when it was all a work in progress)

Oh wow @Doozergirl thank you so so much for posting. Seeing the paint in your cupboard has really brought home just how much I want it to look right. Was it difficult to achieve with the two pot system?
Sadly, there is no matching RAL colour and nobody will match from a HEX codeLiving with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies1 -

Sadly, there is no matching RAL colour and nobody will match from a HEX codeI did a big piece of mdf for my son in our last house as a fake Yves Klein in a minimalist white room, like the gallery we'd seen one in, and that was easier, but it isn't the same as regular paint, it's all about building layers up
to achieve that intensity.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

When you hold them, you can see it's a clear glass tile with a gold leaf backing.Half price from their outlet near Banbury. They had pallets of gold, silver and rose gold. They weren't the best bargains that they had there. We did our shower at 80% off marble tiles, but I sent the boy back for these because I couldn't find anything I liked nearly as much.
