Hi everyone, we have a mix of sun & cloud so far today.DH & I popped to the retail park for a few salady bits & a trifle from MnS, & 2 tshirts for DH from tk Maxx. Next door to there is an Italian cafe that now has outside tables so we decided to stop and have some brunch- I had scrambled egg & smoked salmon bruschetta, DH had a breakfast one, with orange juice and coffees - delicious.It's probably about 18 months since we ate out so we enjoyed it all the more for the wait.

BBq for tea later, really would have been better last night as it was hot, never mind. Yesterday went to watch DGS in his cup match, DH was working so I went back to DS with them after, played in the garden and had a sandwich until dh had done and came to pick me up.

Gers, company makes such tasks a little easier, glad you enjoyed wine etc too.

newroadahead - squirrels are cute but not when having to pay out £180 to get my loft back. I asked the squirrel nicely to find alternative accommodation but he or her - didn't listen - probably a male!.
YDD - aged 44 has invitation for 2nd jab - 7 weeks after first one.

We had squirrels in the loft, noisy b...ggers.  We found where they were coming in, jumping across and up from next door's garage roof, to a small hole in the eaves. Before mending the hole we "chased" them out, rather we detered them from nesting. As they are active at dawn and dusk for nesting, I stayed in the loft with the radio on a chat station at dusk until it got dark. Shone a light on the hole. Also liberally scattered chilli powder, a large packet, near the entry point. Sqirrels don't like chilli .! Took several evenings but it worked. We mended the hole when they were out of the loft. We then got an electric sonic repellent and kept the radio on for several weeks. Squirrels gone. Chilli powder can be put on bird peanuts to deter the squirrels, who can taste the chilli but the birds can't and doesn't harm the birds.

M.E. - the hole is where we can't reach in the loft - it is a ladder job outside. The issue will be sorted when the new fascias and soffits are fitted - just have to pray that no new residents move in before then.
