Rubbish. All the media components are there with the exception of Media Center which is just a glorified front end. WMP is still there as is everything else.
Agreed, but it still runs as fast as a three legged dog with it's paws set in concrete!GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time.

Professionally and personally I use XP Pro - it's a mature stable (reasonably) OS, I wouldn't consider using Vista until SP1 is out next year - although it does have better mobile computing features than XP.0

XP here too, but unless you need the extra networking parts to the OS you may be best phoning up and trying to blag a discount for XP home0
