Bank accounts that tell you pending BACS payments

I’m currently with HSBC but sick of their rubbish app not letting me do what I need to do. So I am switching - but what bank account allows customers to see pending incoming BACS payments the day before they land in your account? It’s the only decent feature HSBC have and I was wondering if other banks do this too? I have a Monzo card that I use for saving up for holidays etc - is this decent as a current account?

Hi, I'm with Nationwide and they do it. I have been with them for around five years but only recently installed their app on my phone and wish I'd done it ages ago. So easy to use and I can see what is pending and it also has the option to sweep my 'loose change' as they call it into my savings account. I also have an ISA with them and although loose change is only a small sum here and there it all adds up. I'm very happy with Nationwide - so far that is.  :)

Since when?  My salary is paid into Nationwide by BACS and it never shows as a pending incoming payment the day before.

Nationwide has pending transactions for card payments, that is all.  There isn't anything pending for upcoming bacs credits or direct debits.

Before they rebranded as Virgin Money, I had a current account with CYBG - their app did show upcoming direct debits, in fact they appeared as if they were already cleared transactions even before their date, which was somewhat confusing.  However I never had my salary paid into that account so I don't know about bacs credits.

Many years ago, Yorkshire Bank's online banking would show BACS credits for the next working day, if you changed the statement dates to include that future date.
The ability to see into the future disappeared when the site was 'upgraded.
Upcoming direct debits and standing orders appear to go out on the working day before they are due, being redated later

Santander still do that, and you can actually use the money then, too.

My salary usually shows up on my Santander account around 9pm/10pm on the day before payday.  It's dated the following day but, as Colsten says, is available to spend.
