Best Before End Products

Just a quick question. I've been going through all my stash of bits and pieces from a year or two and have found various vitamins and health care tablets which I no longer use. Some of them are still in date but some are not.

Is one able to put them on ebay or is it not allowed?

I've checked some online listings and some folk have protein bars which had a best before date of over a year.

I'm just wondering if certain folks are allowed to sell them, ie business sellers but not private sellers?

I've sold some out of date best before products in the past (it's illegal to sell out of date "use by" products) in volume. I really doubt you'd sell vitamins anyway. It's a funny market as to what sells and what doesn't. Tinned foods usually sell well, except for pet food, people are fussier for their pets than themselves!
There are also some newer laws governing the sale of vitamin type products. So I really wouldn't bother.

Just chuck them in the bin.
Not worth the hassle of trying to sell them.

Thanks all.  I just binned them.  I'm not a professional or business seller so as Soolin stated, it's not allowed.  I would hate for them to delete my account as I have a laptop I need to put on at some point.

I know my local Holland and Barrett store sell all kinds of items past their best before end.  I saw some fancy coffee which had past it's sell by date last June but they still had it on sale.  It was on the "last chance to buy" or "clearance" shelf so it's not like they were hiding the fact it wasn't brand new and in date.

Best before dates are related to quality and provided it is within the use by date there is no problem.  They need to discount it heavily to sell i of course.
