Hello all, woke up and thought it was Sunday, doh !

The sun is shining and my family are all here for tea, with the DGC staying overnight so it will be a perfect birthday for me. I have to do some cooking today but nothing major, mainly sausage rolls, garlic bread etc but it's all ready to go in the oven and there is some of the sparkly stuff chilling in the fridge.

(Still waiting for the gasman and getting a bit strung up now! I can't put my mind to anything until he's been and gone!  As I was up and at 'em early, hopeful he would appear at 8.00 a.m. it now feels late afternoon!)

Just a short post as I am feeling a bit meh. Off to Tesco to replace towels that needed to be binned after the Yorkshire house fiasco. Then I think I will take it easy for the rest of the day.

Gers pleased you have some help and as others have said give yourself time
Must be the change in the weather making some of us feeling  a bit bleurgh still very warm but very wet
Called drs yesterday re my blood test results  to be told I'm diabetic and they want me to see a diabetic nurse but there's a waiting list and  no indication when it will be
After initial shock have checked out diabetes UK website and have started putting changes in place 
Have also told DH that I will not be cooking 2 separate dinners so he will have to change as well 
TA hope gas man comes soon

Penblwydd Hapus Nan. Hope you had a nice day.
Went to UHW Cardiff today for follow up on the cataract op. Got there early (0800) for a 8.30 appt. Easy parking at that time. In and out ( and discharged by 8.25). Yippee!!!!
