As a loyal customer of many years and holder of Ecobonds I'm really frustrated that suddenly Ecotricity are not responding to my emails re problems with my recently installed smart meter. Attempts to phone are fruitless. What is going wrong?

Put something out on Facebook or Twitter that is in the least bit critical and it will usually get you a quick response from the social media team.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Tried phoning several times but gave up after holding on for ages listening to repetitive reassuring messages. I've posted a critical review on Trustpilot which got an automated reply but nothing further. In the past I've found Ecotricity really good to deal with but it feels like they've gone off a cliff.

I recently moved into a property and they were the supplier. I completed their online form to let them know I moved in but heard nothing.I requested to switch and it was accepted and they sent a final bill in my name, so they must be reading emails but not replying!
I wanted to pay the final bill but could only do so with an online account which I needed the account number to sign up for, I managed to get this through messaging them on Twitter so could be another route to try if you haven’t already?0 -
I'm having issues with ecotricity as well...they don't respond to emails, they refuse to put me on their warm home discount scheme even though I'm on qualifying benefits (I believe) and because I'm on a smart pre payment 1st gen meter nobody will take me on without getting rid of my smart meter and go on card/key payments again....I'm disabled and unable to go to load these keys...I'm due surgery imminently and will be off my feet til next February....any advice would be much appreciated....thank you0
