Painted patches with old wall paint and it stinks like musty old mop

Hi everyone, am at the end of my tenancy, so decided to patch up some stains left by my creative 3 year old. Nothing big just like 10 cm by 10 cm patches in a few places around the house, in total like 4-5 patches. I used an old can of paint that was left from the last time this house was painted, roughly in 2015 so 6 years old! When I stirred the emulsion it was fine, when I painted it was fine, but now 2 hours later the house smells like an old musty mouldy mop!!
Please help, how can I fix it?

I am not very good with DIY, but it seemed like such a small job to just patch up with a paint brush. It looks fab, hardly noticeable but smells horrific. Musty mouldy smell means there is something growing in that paint can.
We have check out inspection soon so really want to fix it!
Read some where that mixing bleach with emulsion should help? Can this be tried? I wont need much paint probably 40-50 ml.0
