Vanguard Dividend Payment

I noticed something rather odd with the figures shown for this year's dividend payment. Looking on the cash statement on my account, it shows a div payment at a GBP rate of 2.051805. However, the div rate is 2.279783; this is confirmed by the Corporate payment details. (Details relate to LS 60% INC)
Now, if you subtract 2.051805 from 2.279783, you get 0.227978. Is this a coincidence? I would welcome if anyone with a similar investment can check their records to see if something similar is happening on their account. Or perhaps give me an explanation.

Just had a further thought - it would appear that the figure of 2.279783 has been reduced by 10%. This will then give you 2.051805. Perhaps it may have something to do with div tax ie the rate quoted is the net div rate after tax of 10% has been paid. However, the amount paid is the gross amount. The whole thing just isn't making any sense to me. Can someone please elaborate more especially as div tax is 7.5% .0

Divide the dividend amount you received by the number of units you held on the record date to see what you were actually paid per share.0

I've done that - the div rate paid per unit is 2.279783. That's why I'm asking why the cash statement show a different rate of
2.051805.0
