Question about limit order

I have set day limit order for a Hong Kong listed stock.
If i set the limit today, but HK doesnt open until midnight GMT, will my order be filled or expire?
Is it usually 24 hours or until midnight? If it makes any difference im with II.

I don't know the answer to your question, but if you set a longer-term limit order, then you could cancel it manually if it doesn't execute overnight.

Perhaps ask your broker if there is time available?
My broker says if any trades are placed out of hours, they will be executed the next working day, whenever that may be.
Unless you are trading a market that is currently open, in which case your order might expire at midnight. Sorry don’t know anymore than that.

The order is in, so i will see if it gets filled.

If you are with II you can set the limit expiry date to any point in the next 3 months (IIRC) so if you are worried that it wont get executed just increase the limit date.
