HSBC incorrect over draft default date

Hi everyone. I am hoping to get a first time buyer mortgage soon. I used to be bad with credit but have been good for the past 6 years. My Experian report is 999. My Equifax is 448 with some credit card defaults having just dropped off after 6 years. My transunion is 588 with a HSBC overdraft unpaid default from 2017.
I am confused by the date 2017 as I stopped using this account in Jan 2015 or possibly before this. I have not logged into the account since then.
I raised a dispute with transunion but it was rejected. Should I contact HSBC? The amount is approx £1000. Should I log in to my Hsbc to see the date of default? Not sure what the best thing to do it and I wanted it sorted as soon as possible.

Thanks for your help.

After 6 years of delinquency it is unlikely your login credentials will still work so you'll probably need to contact HSBC to find out what this relates to.

Get it settled. Lenders won't be looking at your scores but how you've managed your accounts and unsettled defaults are very bad.
If you think the default should have been earlier, you can ask them to backdate it.0
