Morrisons petrol contamination

Filled up with fuel that had water mixed in.Finally got them to refund for damage caused to the engine AA emergency rescue & fuel but they've offered a £50 voucher as a "goodwill gesture"  not taken into account out of pocket expenses i.e lost wages due to no car 3 days and inconvenience. Do I accept or fight?

A bit more context needed - how much have they actually paid out to you ? Was it an isolated incident for your car or for a batch of vehicles ? Did you minimise your losses (3 days no work due to no car could be deemed excessive)

As above, far more detail required. Why couldn't you have got a lift/bus/train/taxi to work?
What other kind of out of pocket expences are you talking about? How much do you value all these expences at?

I would strongly imagine that they would not pay for consequential loss

This was in the news a few weeks ago. The tank had contaminated waste in it and affected many cars.

So they paid you for rectifying the damage and offered £50. The problem with the law when trying to sue for losses is you have to prove it. It's up to you but myself I'd accept their offer and save a lot of hassle and just get on with your life.

Is there any reason you couldnt hire a car for 3 days? That would have minimized your losses.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Under the circumstances, I would think the loss on one day’s work while you were organising and waiting for someone to come out and recover your car would be reasonable, The other 2 days you could have still worked using a hire car so claiming anything more than that would be unreasonable.
