External repair above Bay window

Hi All,  I am a newbie here! I am looking for some advice on external repair above my bay window. the wood has started to rot and getting the damp now. Does anyone what is it called and estimated cost to repair it?

    It's just wood cladding with decorative leadwork. Clearly been a while since it was treated/painted.

    You could try stabilising the wood with some wood treatment or hardener then paint it or remove it altogether.
