Bluetooth problem on a Mi Mix 3?

I paired a Mi Band 3 with the Mix 3 some months ago and then lost the band!
I've now found the band but it's run down so low it won't do anything until it's re-paired with the phone.
The phone still has the profile for the band, but say 'unpaired' in the profile and won't connect to the band. (The band is in pairing mode)
I can find no way to delete the profile of the band from the bluetooth setting screen? Long pressing on the profile doesn't bring up a dialog..
I've tried going into 'manage apps' and clearing all data in the bluetooth section, but nothing clears and when I go back to the bluetooth screen everything is still there???
Can anyone suggest how to delete a bluetooth profile so I can start the pairing process again with the band?
