Plastering walls and ceiling in hallway, stairs and landing

I have a smallish three bed terraced ex council house. I’ve received a quote of £1.3k including materials and waste disposal for cutting out and bonding approx 10 large cracks to the existing plaster and one wall which is covered in blown plaster, boxing in some floor to ceiling radiator pipes behind the front door and skimming all the walls and ceiling.
happy to pay that if that’s the going rate but just want to make sure I’m not being take advantage of as I previously had a plasterer try to quote me £350 for one wall

That’s extremely cheap according to the prices where I live.
  • I just paid £200 day rate for an experienced plasterer in inner SE London.

I’m in Essex and my plasterer and his son (who plasters too) charge £350 a day and will do a room including any making good and overboarding any ceiling in a day.

just had a 6m long landing, awkward stairwell (4.5m high) and hallway done in 2 days. £700 all in.

    no boxing in though

I am in West London and have just been quoted 2k for 3 days work, hallway, stairs & landing.
To skim walls and board/skim ceiling.
  • In the end I had the job completed by someone else for £900 and its pretty decent
