Surprise problems in your new home?

So far our new (old) house has a moth problem, hardly any water pressure downstairs, potentially mice but not quite sure yet. there are loads of building issues but I did know about those ! Any nasty surprises when you first moved in?

Im not going to make make anyone envious so won’t mention that the only problem I’ve ever had when buying a property was a clock in the shape of a teapot that didn’t work.

I think its the sort of houses I buy - cheap, needing work etc that make it more likely. Was it not working as clock or teapot
