Bought car 22nd May

I bought a car (mitsubishi outlander) from Arnold clark and 2 days later I had to call with issues, while I was out driving I smelled something really sour and strange (not catalactic convertor rotten egg smell) and then after that came a burning smell. My child's belt that goes through the car seat also doesn't retract properly, it seems to stop half way therefore it is loose on her and I need to tell my 4 year old to feed the belt back through to allow it to be tight on her across her chest, this happens everytime she moves. The clutch I find also shudders. The car was taken in and they took it out a drive. The technician admitted in 2nd gear it does shudder slightly however its maybe just a case of me having to get used to the car but if any further issues with it to come back in. I was then told the seat belt does retract when the car seat isn't it so it is likely the seat belt is too thick for this car seat and basically because it retracts it is not deemed by then as faulty! I did go away and it wasn't till away I thought, if it was the car itself having a "thicker seat belt" the car seat company wouldn't have that car as suitable for that car seat, the front seat belts retract faster aswell but the back ones without a car seat retract much slower and I really feel this is the reason it then stops when the carseat is in the car as it doesn't have the power to go through the angle of the clip.
The burning smell was still there occasionally and when I'd be driving and get out I'd go to front of car right hand side and I could smell burning when I smelled the gap at the bonnet!
I still feel the clutch shudder.
I took it back in, I was given a 21 plate manual polo. Absolutely no issues with the car seat for the belt nor is there any issue with the gears or the clutch therefore this can't be my "style of driving because Iv come from an aitomatic to a manual" if I can drive this car with ease then it can't be because of me.
They have since called me back, iv spoken to management and all I keep getting told is the technicians have found no fault and have taken it a drive, when I asked why I was told the other technician felt shuddering I was told "the age of the car makes this a common thing, it isn't that its faulty" it is a 68 plate.
The seat belt I'm told well it retracts fine with no car seat so it is working but they aren't addressing the fact it retracts but at a slower pace!
The burning smell, they can't find anything like that so nothing is wrong with it.
Can someone please help me with this on how to deal with it from here? I am getting a call from the service manager tomorrow but I'm just saying the same things as i did to the branch manager today so I'm a bit lost now On what to do

You legally have 30 days to reject the vehicle.

Was it an in person or remote purchase? If the latter, you can reject within 14 days and don't need a reason. Otherwise, reject under the 30 days rule linked above. If you had a trade in, that will be gone so you'll get the value in lieu.

OP you have the right to reject the goods out right for a full refund within 30 days if they do not conform to the contract
However when exercising the short term right to reject it is not taken that the goods do not conform and as such if the retailer disputes the claim you'd need to actually show the goods do not conform, typically by having a report to show what the issues are (which should typically be easy for a car, hopefully a local garage would be willing to do this). If the report shows the goods do not conform then the retailer must refund in full and cover the cost of the report.
The alternative is that within the first 6 months it is taken that the goods do not conform but the retailer may at their choice offer a repair, replacement or, in this case, a full refund (as a refund may only be reduced after 6 months). However it's worth noting:
www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2015/15/section/19/enacted
(14)For the purposes of subsections (3)(b) and (c) and (4), goods which do not conform to the contract at any time within the period of six months beginning with the day on which the goods were delivered to the consumer must be taken not to have conformed to it on that day.(15)Subsection (14) does not apply if—
(a)it is established that the goods did conform to the contract on that day, or
If the dealer has inspected the car and are stating it does conform then you are back to the above of showing otherwise.
