Hi,

Quick question please. Our RTM company has just received the Data protection fee demand from the ICO.

I'm presuming we need to pay this?

We don't hold any customers data.

We do most of the work ourselves but obviously need to employ someone at some stage eg: paint the house etc.

We don't have CCTV or electronically store data.

Thank you

Firstly, are you sure the demand is from the ICO and not from scammer?

Complete the self-assessment to determine whether you need to pay the fee:
    https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/data-protection-fee/self-assessment/

Would probably only be £40pa anyway if you are required to have it, (£35 if you pay by DD)

It seems unlikely you'd be able to operate as an RTM if you didn't have details of the residents.

I doubt you'd have a fee to pay as you'd only be using the data out of need, but you should probably be registered.

There os a questionnaire you answer.  I suspect the result will
    be £0.
