That is not 30 minutes so be prepared to argue that time on site (10.05 to 10.45) is not the same as time parking, there has to be time to get from entry point to a parking place and vice versa at the end of the parking period.  There also as to be time to read the terms and conditions on the parking sign - hence grace periods.

Thank you - I will argue that case too if needed.  I was hopeful that given it took me the additional time to try to actually purchase a ticket, they might let it slide.  Evidently not!

Unlikely , as far as they are concerned , rules is rules , the 30 minutes grace far exceeds the BPA CoP V8 and there seems to have been no offer of payment made at any time

Barry Beavis lost 3 times in 3 courts to Parking Eye , overstaying for nearly one hour on a free for 2 hours car park near you , 6 years ago !! You are just cannon fodder based on what I have seen so far , but if you can find one flaw in their legal case , feel free to prove me wrong 😋😋

FWIW, if you're in town again, use the multi storey by the High Chelmer shopping centre. it's council run, pay on exit. Its also only a few minutes from the Meadows and you don't risk being scammed!
