TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “KISS– Tradie Awards – Terms & Conditions” (the “Competition”).

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside  our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

 

 

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS      Entries are restricted to one entry per person per phase of the competition.

 

Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:

2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN 

Phase 1

Listeners must go online to https://planetradio.co.uk/kiss/, to win an event curtesy of Wickes TradePro and KISS. To be eligible to win, entrants must and tell us the following details: 

 

1.           Their Full name and Contact Details

2.           Nominate a ‘Tradesperson’ for one of the four Tradie Award categories. The entry must include first name of the person they are nominating, what the person does in the trade (the nominee must work in a trade in order to be nominated), and then tell us why this person should win the category they are nominating them for.

 

Entries will be judged on how entertaining, compelling, heart-warming and how deserving the entry is. All entries will be judged by the KISS production team, the production manager, and an independent judge. A shortlist for Phase 2 will be selected from all entries for each category after they have gone through the judging process.

 

We will be shortlisting entries from the open of Phase 1 on 31/05/2021 at 00.01 until the close of each category.

•            Category 1 closes 09:00 on 09/06/2021

•            Category 2 closes at 09:00 on 10/06/2021

•            Category 3 closes at 09:00 on 11/06/2021

•            Category 4 closes at 23:59 on 16/06/2021

 

Once a person has entered, their entry will be eligible to be selected for shortlisting at any point up until the close of the category. 

 

On shortlisting, we will require the nominators to coherently explain their entry and discuss their nomination with the member of the production team. The entry must be compelling and match the entry that was entered online. The nominators will need to explain in detail the reason why the nominee deserves to be shortlisted further and go through to Phase 2. Being called during the entry period does not mean that the nominator or nominee has been put into the Phase 2 shortlist, and they will only win once being told they are the winner by the production team after the specific nomination period for each category closes.

 

There will be four shortlisted entries for each category in Phase 1. The nominator will be deemed the winner, however only the person that they nominated will go through to Phase 2 of the competition. The shortlisted entries for each category will be announced during Phase 2 on KISS Breakfast. 

 

The nominator will be called to inform them their nomination has been shortlisted and is through to Phase 2. The shortlisted Tradesperson who has been nominated will need to confirm to the nominator, that they are happy for the nominator to share their phone number and email address with the KISS production team. The winning Tradesperson’s contact details will only be used by the KISS production team to speak to them about the KISS Trade Awards. 

 

The KISS production team will contact the shortlisted Tradespeople and ask them to send in a 15 second video detailed why they think they should win the category they are shortlisted in. This footage will be used on KISS social channels, kissfmuk.com, and on-air on KISS FM. The footage will be provided to Wickes who can use this on their social channels, their website, internal Wickes communication channels and instore radio. By accepting to send in the footage the shortlisted Tradesperson accepts and agrees to the filming and use of the footage. 

 

Phase 2

The KISS audience must go to KISS Instagram (handle: @kissfmuk) to vote for the Tradespeople in the shortlisted categories to be eligible to win the prize.

 

Each shortlisted category will be open to vote for 24 hours with the exact opening time being announced on-air by the KISS Breakfast team:

•            Category 1 will be open to vote between 06:00- 10:00 on 14/06/2021 and will be open for 24 hours

•            Category 2 will be open to vote between 06:00- 10:00 on 15/06/2021 and will be open for 24 hours

•            Category 3 will be open to vote between 06:00- 10:00 on 16/06/2021 and will be open for 24 hours

•            Category 4 will be open to vote between 06:00- 10:00 on 17/06/2021 and will be open for 24 hours

 

The entrant can vote once for each category.

 

Phase 3

During Phase 3 the final winner of each category will be announced on-air during the KISS breakfast show: 

•            Category 1 winner will be announced on-air between 06:00- 10:00 on 21/06/2021

•            Category 2 winner will be announced on-air between 06:00- 10:00 on 22/06/2021

•            Category 3 winner will be announced on-air between 06:00- 10:00 on 23/06/2021

•            Category 4 winner will be announced on-air between 06:00- 10:00 on 24/06/2021

 

The category winners will be called by the KISS production team and asked to record a clip with the KISS Breakfast presenters, which will be played out on air during the winner announcement. The winners of each category will win a prize, overall, there will be 4 winners (1 per category).

 

The shortlisted entrants who will not become the category winner will also be awarded a consolation prize.  Overall, there will be 8 consolation prizes awarded (2 per category)

 

Final Celebration

For the final celebration 1 tradesperson from the final winners of each category will be selected by the KISS production team as the ‘KISS Tradesperson of the Year’.  The selection of the ‘KISS Tradesperson of the Year’ will be judged on how entertaining, compelling, heart-warming and how deserving the winners are. All winners will be judged by the KISS production team, the production manager, and an independent judge.

 

On being selected as the ‘KISS Tradesperson of the Year’ the winner will be asked to attend the KISS Studio during the KISS Breakfast show on 25/06/2021. They will meet the KISS presenters and will be asked to participate on-air.

 

3. ENTRY PERIOD            

Entries must be submitted during the following entry periods:

 

Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time of all Phases of the KISS Trade Awards will be invalid.

 

Phase 1

•            Category 1 nominations open at 00:01 31/05/2021 and close at 09:00 on 09/06/2021

•            Category 2 nominations open at 00:01 31/05/2021 and close at 09:00 on 10/06/2021

•            Category 3 nominations open at 00:01 31/05/2021 and close at 09:00 on 11/06/2021

•            Category 4 nominations open at 00:01 31/05/2021 and close at 23:59 on 16/06/2021

 

Phase 2

•            The shortlist for Category 1 will be open to vote between 06:00- 10:00 on 14/06/2021 and will be open for 24 hours from time of open which will be announced on KISS Breakfast

•            The shortlist for Category 2 will be open to vote between 06:00- 10:00 on 15/06/2021 and will be open for 24 hours from time of open which will be announced on KISS Breakfast

•            The shortlist for Category 3 will be open to vote between 06:00- 10:00 on 16/06/2021 and will be open for 24 hours from time of open which will be announced on KISS Breakfast

•            The shortlist for Category 4 will be open to vote between 06:00- 10:00 on 17/06/2021 and will be open for 24 hours from time of open which will be announced on KISS Breakfast

 

Phase 3

There will be no entry for Phase 2 of the competition.

•            The Category 1 winner will be announced on-air between 06:00- 10:00 on 21/06/2021

•            The Category 2 winner will be announced on-air between 06:00- 10:00 on 22/06/2021

•            The Category 3 winner will be announced on-air between 06:00- 10:00 on 23/06/2021

•            The Category 4 winner will be announced on-air between 06:00- 10:00 on 24/06/2021

•            The KISS ‘Tradesperson of the Year’ will be announced on-air during KISS Breakfast on 25/06/2021 and will be asked to attend the KISS Breakfast show recording between the hours of 06:00- 10:00 on the same day25/06/2021.

 

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS               •            Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.

•            Both the Nominator and the Nominee must be 18 years or over on the date of entry

•            Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

•            We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

•            Use of a false name will result in disqualification

•            In order to be awarded the prize, the winning nominee must be a registered ‘Tradesperson’. This must be proved by providing some form of ID to Bauer Media that proves the nominee works in the trade (a listing on TradePoint, CheckATrade, TrustMark or any other Tradesperson ranking site will be considered as acceptable proof). This must be provided once a member of the production team emails the nominee before they are announced as winners on-air. This ID must be provided before the announcement that they are in the shortlist of each category. 

 

5. THE PRIZE      Phase 1

There will no prizes during Phase 1 of the competition.

 

Phase 2

There will be no prizes during Phase 2 of the competition.

 

Phase 3

 

The final winner of each category will win the following (the “Prize”):

 

•            £2,500 Wickes Gift-card

 

Each shortlisted finalist who does not win the category will also win the following consolation prize:

 

•            £100 Wickes Gift-card

 

There will be 4 winner prizes and 8 consolation prizes awarded during Phase 3.

The following prizes will be rewarded to the overall winner of the KISS ‘Tradesperson of the Year’:

 

•            Invited to attend the KISS Breakfast show in person on 25/06/2021 between 06:00 – 10:00

 

-             Accommodation  for 2 people for overnight stays in London for the evenings of 24/6/2021 & 25/06/2021 which will be chosen by the KISS Production team

 

-             Travel will be provided to and from the following locations

1.           Return Train to and from the winners desired train station in the UK to London terminal

2.           Taxi service From London Terminal on 24/06/2021 to London Accommodation

3.           Taxi service From the London Accommodation to the KISS Studio on 25/06/2021.

4.           Taxi service From KISS Studio back to London Accommodation on 25/06/2021

5.           Taxi service From London Accommodation to London terminal on 25/06/202

 

-             Spending money will be provided of  £250. This will need to cover any additional travel costs that are not stated above/ food and entertainment that the winner choses. Spending money will take up to 28 days from the 25/06/2021 and will not be available during the trip dates. Spending money will be provided by bank transfer or cheque.

 

We reserve  the right to change the time/ date dependant on government guidelines and COVID legislation out of our control. In the event of a national/ regional/ local lockdown or restrictions that will not allow us to run this element of the prize we will follow the guidelines and legislations and act accordingly.   We will update the winner of any changes to the event plan at all stages of implementation.

 

The Prize is provided by Bauer Media (the “Prize Provider”).

 

Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable

 

Any changes to the prize draw will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by Bauer Media.

 

Entrants who sign up to the Wickes marketing can opt out at any time. All marketing content which is sent to entrants will have an opt-out link within the content.

 

Wickes reserves the right to substitute the Prize with one of equal or greater value at any time.

2.           INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

3.           MISCELLANEOUS.

 

•            Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.

•            Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

•            We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.

•            You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.

•            We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.

•            Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.

•            As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize.

 

We may cancel, end or suspend the Competition where we are required to do so in circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any stage during the Competition if such amendment is necessary to facilitate the administration of the Competition.
