Exhaust Air Heat Pump

Yes, I understand the principle of capturing and recycling the heat from the necessary air changes in a highly insulated Passivhaus type building. From a "normal" dwelling, built to our current abysmal building standards, far more is going to go out through the structure than via vents.

As others have said, it seems that NIBE exhaust air heatpumps are not everso easy to set up and really need to be left running 24/7. There have been lots of complaints and they've even been featured on TV consumer programmes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJr_oPXRYl0 one would have hoped that they'd have got it sorted out by now but i guess there are still a lot of installations still in existence
They seem to have been installed in either housing association or shared ownership properties where my cynical mind suggests that there might have been considerable incentives paid to get them adopted.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
