PIP and Leap Review

Hi,
Having read a recent article on the Leap Review and the actions by the DWP regarding awards I wondered if you could perhaps give any advice to me?
My wife is the Claimant and has received Disability for many years prior to 2016/17
In that year we applied to renew her claim as usual but instead of receiving the enhanced rate as she had done for the past 9 years she was put down onto the standard rate,a significant loss to us.
At the time,we appealed but this was refused. The part of the form regarding following a journey had been marked as 0 ,no points and the ajudicator mentioned he felt my wife was able to follow a route ably.My wife is disabled and we had put in our statement this was not something she was able to do by herself but no mention of this was made.
Fast forward now to this year,and our application again for the PIP review.Having sent back the form,updated with new information regarding my wife,and spoken to a rep who wished to speak to us regarding my wife’s application for a wheelchair we received a letter awarding the enhanced rate again for the foreseeable future.
In this application we mentioned my wifes anxiety and depression and her inability to plan or make a journey by herself as before. This again was not given any points which,although the award was given did not seem right or accurate.
The letter sent today also mentions “we may owe you money and will write to you about this”.
If this is to do with the Leap Review should I be quering the decisions made concerning my wife’s abilities regarding journeys.etc and her anxieties related with leaving the house?
I,d really like to hear what you think before I make any formal requests to the DWP.
Thank you for reading

Can you tell us the mobility descriptors and points which your wife was awarded:
a) in the years prior to 2016/7;
b) the 2016/7 award;
c) your current award.
You mention a letter sent today that states “we may owe you money and will write to you about this”.
Can we assume this is from the DWP about the historic PIP award?
Can you give us more info about this letter?
