Advice on unfair ccj

I moved from an address in May 2019 and thought I'd cancelled informed all utilities. I was up to date with all payments. To be on safe side I registered immediately on electoral register and got on with life. In March 2020 I opened a demand for £700 at my new address from Yorkshire Water. I rang immediately and disputed only to be told it was my responsibility to inform them of my change of address. The agent I spoke to said she'd get back to me with my disputed amount. Fast forward to June and still not heard so rang and asked the question.. Was it cleared and did I owe? The answer was yes but only 2 months as previous landlord had only declared me leaving in August.. I paid immediately thinking it was over till I downloaded my credit report which said that I had a CCJ for £692 registered in October 2019 against me. A solicitors team have said I have a case to get it set aside for a fixed fee.. Has anyone used these services before and has anyone had something happen similar

Teanne1812 said:and thought I'd cancelled informed all utilities.I guess the problem here is that thinking you had cancelled or informed all utilities would not be an adequate defence. You would have to be able to say with certainty that you actually did inform all of the utilities, including Yorkshire Water. You can't infer that they knew of your new address in March 2020 as a result of you informing them, because they may have tracked you down by other means. The delay between March 2020 and June 2020 isn't really relevant in any way, as the CCJ had already been granted long before that anyway.

You don`t need a solicitor to set aside a judgement, its something you do yourself -
