Now what? property owner not interested. parking company no info held but gladstone still trying

My wife recently received a notice before court from Gladstones on behalf of Euro Parking services Ltd. This related to a parking charge dating to may 2020

I did the following as recommended on this forum:

I contacted the owner of the premises  and explained the situation. They replied with
“…..I know its of little use now but if we had known there was an official reason for you being there in advance, we would have gladly made some arrangement with them to cover your job. At this late stage, there is little we can do. However if you could drop a copy of the enforcement to us ,we will email them with the details, but we cannot guarantee the outcome.”

 

I wrote a SAR to Euro Parking Services a few days later. They replied with
“Good Afternoon,

 Please be advised that at the time of writing Euro Car Parks does not hold any data on you or vehicle BXXX  XXZ

 Regards,

Data Protection Officer”

I wrote an email to Gladstones,  at the same time as the SAR request, based on a letter found on this forum.
Today I received a response from Gladstones still demanding money and showing no signs of backing down and included photos of signs, the car and myself.

 

My question is:
Do I write to Gladstones and inform them of the above 2 responses?
Ignore Gladstones and wait for a potential court date and then present the emails in my defence?

Just by way of further information.
It was a morning during the lock down on a pub carpark. Obviously the pub was not open for me to get any form of permission and I could have caused no loss of trade.
It was for work not pleasure (key worker- covid compliance monitoring)
It is clearly not my wife in the photos, I have a full beard (at no time have we said who was driving the car)

and so you replied with a copy of the stupid charge, yes?  And reiterate that this was for work not pleasure (key worker- covid compliance monitoring) and the registered keeper was not the driver.  If she is getting the letters does she want to transfer liability to you now, which MUST be done before a court claim because after that, she stays as the defendant. 

Are you better placed to handle this as you are here getting advice - perhaps more inclined to see it through and win in court - given you were driving and were a key worker?   If so, she should transfer liability by emailing Gladstones and give your name and address as the driver and tell them to contact you from now on and to cease and desist with contacting her as the keeper.

NOT YOU EMAILING THEM.  THE KEEPER EMAILS TO TRANSFER LIABILITY.

Replied promptly with a scan but heard no more from them
Noted on the transfer of liability. Thank you.

A landowner will often change their thoughts if you tell them that you will call them as a witness in any court case.  They will have to tell the truth to a judge

There is also a thought that the landowner is getting a share of the ££ action
