Bit cheeky, considering I haven't been able to use any of the benefits for over a year...£250 is getting a bit cheeky.

They can do it because Amex's competitors are so much weaker when it comes to rewards credit cards. It's also no surprise given their recently announced changes to the cashback credit cards.

With many people deciding not to travel in the last year has been one of the best for using Avios, companion vouchers etc... will be the first time in ages that our total Avios point collection (inc MR) goes down in a year rather than up.
