British Gas not turning up for appointments

Just to let you know that £65 landed in my bank account on Thursday! So don’t settle for £20.I was doubtful that it would arrive but it’s there so we will see if they actually turn up at the next appointment…………..1

I would be interested to know if there is a pattern to British Gas cancelling appointments for serving and repairs at short notice. We have experienced a belated call cancelling an appointment for a repair, having already been texted that the engineer “should be with you shortly”. We then had a similar experience with our much delayed service (which we accepted due to the difficult circumstances with Covid). Again the cancellation was well into the 5 hour slot we were given. Only on the second occasion and after a expressed my anger were we offered a goodwill gesture of £10.0
