TSB scam text?

Just received a text - "We have received a request to set up a direct debit on your TSB account for £2935.33 by KLC Ltd. Click below to cancel if this was not you - http://ddtsb.online"

Obviously a scam.

Out of interest what would happen if this was real. I have only a couple of pounds in the only TSB current account I have left.

You might go overdrawn, or the payment would be declined.

Unless you had an overdraft of £2933.33 or more (I'm taking "couple of pounds" literally), the DD would be declined.

May be initially but these would be refunded once you have convinced your bank that you had not authorised the DD.

contact your bank and they can cancel the DD, if its real.

"setting up" a DD mandate wouldn't show an amount, would it? The amount is only known when the first payment is requested.
