    Morning folks

Well I don't know about you but it's absolutely pitch black here! The plumbers rang at 5 yesterday to say that they couldn't make it so I went up to the allotment and had a pootle round before coming home and making tea/washing up/prepping for today. I stuck a loaf of bread into the breadmaker on a timer... it's just beeped at me now!
Early start today at 5am to go to the gym for 6am. @jadewest94 what kind of gym have you joined? I'm enjoying being back although my hands did not cope with today. They have softened up so much that I had to stop cos I was getting blisters. Best to live to fight another day! All I could think of was that scene in Blackadder where the old sea captain is shouting "you have a woman's hands my lord!" :joy:
The other big ticket item today is that I rashly offered to teach a stranger to crochet! I joined this app called "next door" and someone was asking about where she could go to crochet classes, so I just offered to help her. I'm not asking for any money, although you never know, she might offer me a bottle of wine or something!

    soo
    :star: B/L/D from stores
    :star: Plumber at some point!
    :star: Working from home
    :star: OH gigging!!
:star: Persuade OH into running the hoover round hopefully although he's def woken up on the wrong side of the bed. He's gone back to sleep after our gym session.
:star: Track cals in free app
:star: Write meal plan and finalise shopping list
:star: Take cheque to the bank - must do this - done. And I drove myself like a big girl

    Have a good one all

@carrielovesfanta it's just a local gym, I'm paying £28 for access to multi gym in my county and it includes swimming! I just want to be more active and healthy! My gym offers workouts within its app and you can scan the equipment and it will count your reps etc for you! I'm honestly enjoying it, I might start going before work. I just need to get a food plan in place because currently I am starving before and after the gym!

I was at PureGym pre covid but they had 200+ members in at a time and I couldn't use half the machines!

That rep counting app sounds cool! When I go in the morning, I make a very light smoothie from a piece of fruit, a bit of dried or fresh kale (extra greens!), a couple of dates and 10g of protein powder, made up with 400ml water. I pop it in the fridge over night and down it as soon as I get up (1 hour before I go to the gym). It stops me getting hungry part-way through my workout and it's light so I don't feel sick. I also prep my porridge so that I can just add the milk and cook it when I get back.

Ohh that's a great idea!! I'll deffo look into doing similar, my gym opens at 6am, so I can book 6-7am slot, and get home for half 7 to leave for work at 8am! I just need the motivation to get my bum out of bed that early!

I'm also trying to eat healthier at work aswell, I'm using all rice and fish etc in the freezer to stop myself wasting things.

Could you message me your diet tips or smoothie recipes etc? I'd appreciate it!

  • Evening all - it’s lovely and sunny here.

    • A NSD today. Long may it continue.
    • Checked my banking online and a mortgage contribution has been made for this month so that is one less thing for me to think about.
    • Need to learn how to use online banking. I’m a newbie and it makes me nervous. Will have to do a bank transfer later in the month so have some time yet.
