Travel insurance with vague undiagnosed complaints

My partner had some vague complaints a few months ago. By the time she finally got to see a specialist the complaints had gone. As a result the specialist wasn't able to give a diagnosis but has put a follow up appointment in 6 months.
We're looking at a UK holiday & travel insurance, would we have to say we're awaiting diagnosis and/or have a pre-existing medical condition?  How would we get travel insurance?

Three options that I can think of:
    1.  If the specialist has indicated what the condition might be you could put that as an underlying condition when doing an online quote and also state how many medicines are being taken when asked.  If you are given different information between when buying insurance and travelling then make sure the insurer is given the up-to-date information.
    2. Buy travel insurance online without medical cover - that will likely mean no cover for any conditions, even if she gets something which seems unrelated while on holiday.
    3. Phone up the insurer and give details of the outpatient appointments and state there's no confirmed diagnosis.

Is the undiagnosed condition likely to stop her going on holiday?
You are not likely to get cover for that.
Staysure have cover excluding the undiagnosed condition so you would not be covered for any cancellation due to it, but would be covered for  eventualities.
There are probably others who offer such cover. Do a  search for travel insurance with an undiagnosed condition.

Currently totally fine and not on any medications. My main worry is foreign travel when we'll eventually get to do that again as some countries we'd go to (visiting relatives) require medical cover. They've never checked before but still..

As long as it is undiagnosed it will be difficult for anyone to cover it as they cannot assess the risk of any claim
If you are travelling before her follow up appointment   and hopefully diagnosis, then you would need to speak any potential insurance company.
But you must answer the medical questions truthfully and that may include anything you have seen your GP about , or anything you have been referred for, in the the previous one, two or three years.
While there may not be a check the danger is if you have a claim they will ask for your medical records from your GP and may void your insurance if it was not declared.

My husband was referred for a hospital test but  the date that came was after our already booked holiday. he no longer had symptoms.
The insurance company were not prepared to cover him for any medical cover, only for accident. They did suggest He try to get a diagnosis from the  GP.
Our GP advIsed   what test he was to get and the insurance company accepted that  with a £50 charge.

You can declare the specific symptoms that took her to seek medical advice. For example - stomach pains, headaches, lethargy, lumps etc. You tell the insurance company the same as she told the doctor.
