Struggling to get LTD company bank account

Hi there. I have been sorting out my finances the last few years. Now got a mortgage and debt free apart from that.
Iv went Ltd (and VAT registered) but I am struggling to get a decent business account. I have got one with Counting Up (no credit checks i dont think) but theyre extremely limited, online only and very basic. Cant pay in cheques either which some of my customers have insisted on as a payment method.
Is there any way to get a decent account while my own personal rating is poor(despite being debt free and being allowed a 6 figure mortgage) ? I am the only director, my partners rating is really good, is there a way to get the account via them without making them a director?
Thanks.

Who do you have your personal accounts with? They may be the best people to approach initially.0

I have a Starling personal account and, after three attempts, managed to get a Starling business account. Our main issue was supposedly that we were two equal shareholders0

I give a +1 for starling as well. Was a pain to set up, I dont think they want to give business accounts the amount of hoops I jumped through but finally managed to get one with a letter from my accountant.0

Barring the above you should be able to get a business bank account now that the issue around BBLS has gone away (I know people who could not get Ltd accounts whilst the BBLS was open due to the banks not wanting to have to deal with that). Have the banks actually turned down your applications?0 -
STarling bank all day long, they are excellent. Moved from HSBC and Santander to do all banking with them

I seem to be a cheerleader for Tide Bank...
Anyway I was able to open an account a short while back and the entire registration process took 5 minutes and it went through instantly. My business was only days old at the time! Haven't had any problems so far (except they don't accept cheques) and I love the app.
They also offer £75 free cash credited to your account if you enter code: FREE75 when signing up.
