Igloo Energy Put Me On a None Disclosed Tariff.

After Using MSE Energy Comparison I chose to start a Switching process to Igloo for my dual fuel needs:
Within 24 hours of me starting the switching, Igloo contacted me via Email to let me know the tariff I was quoted through MSE Comparison was slightly different than I will be actually be charged. The tariff will be at a higher unit rate than quoted on the MSE Comparison, however Igloo have not stated what the higher rate is! 
I have replied to Igloo via Email stating I am not prepared to accept a none disclosed higher unit rate Tariff for my Gas and Electricity Supply and have asked them to cancel my switching application as soon as possible and to confirm they have done so.

You may need to read the terms and conditions but most energy contracts normally start on the day that the energy supplier receives your instruction to switch. Unfortunately, price comparison websites can delay the message getting through to the supplier which means that the supplier has the right not to place you on a tariff that has been withdrawn. That said, I would expect to receive details of the new tariff with the ‘cooling off’ period starting when I confirmed that the new tariff terms were acceptable to me.

You have done absolutely the right thing: I would have done the same. I would also contact my old supplier advising them to block any switch attempts from Igloo Energy.
