Replacement battery for Hp Laptop

Hi. Help required please :). I've got a HP Pavilion 15-CS0026na laptop, which is about 2 1/2 years old. On start up, I get a notice saying the battery needs replacing. It will only work if it's plugged in via the power cable. I'm looking to replace the battery but it's not one of the 'clip in' types but requires me to open the back of the laptop. I also need to know how many cells the previous battery is - can I find this information anywhere, without opening the back of the laptop? Also, is it a hard job for a total novice? Finally, would anyone suggest good/bad places to purchase a replacement battery from? Any advice greatly appreciated please.

Yes, I have. Doubts set in though when I mentioned it to a friend who said i'd probably do more harm than good!

Find a video to match your laptop.  Thsi one?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQ_FHHd9LfI
Screws are easy (assuming you have the correct Philips screwdriver - really important that you have a good fitting one!).  The main problem is if you have any ribbon cables to remove. This is where the risk of damage occurs.
If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.

See page 36.  Literally take all the screws out the bottom and once you get it going the bottom comes straight off and the battery is undo two or three screws, unconnect it and remove it.  Obtain new battery, follow the same procedure to put it back in.  Little to go wrong.

How are you doing with the 128 GB capacity storage drive? It would be a good time to do something about it, such as fitting another inexpensive SSD.

Brilliant; why don't all instructions come with this info; it would save so many graunched* screw heads.

    *Technical term!

    They are quite different.

Where will the larger battery sit?

Probably best to take a look before ordering.
