It is shocking that a bank employee would advise a customer to commit fraud.

Its not shocking to me, banks committed fraud for years, peddling the lie about the requirement to take a PPI policy with a loan, when in fact it wasn`t a requirement at all.

What makes you think they have changed  ?

For a lot of loan situations, in fact it WAS required - I suspect there is very little evidence that proves anyone in fact did this, just the usual CMC lies. In another lot of loan situations, it was the case it might increase the chance of getting a loan.

Funny though, customers committed fraud for years, peddling the lie they were told there was a requirement to take a PPI policy with a loan, when in fact it never happened at all. Many more lied about even having a policy and demanded a refund for something they never had. Wonder how many customers will be prosecuted for fraud? Oh yes, 0 as the FOS naively believe people were "mistaken". I wonder if the bank staff were similarly "mistaken"? Or is it just bank = bad, customer = good?

When it comes to sourcrates it's definitely the latter.

What i meant by that is no income as they would see it,meaning a  regular job.
Again, it's ambiguous. Are you self-employed, in which case most people's income is irregular, or doing casual employed work that is not regular?

It was perfectly acceptable to require PPI taken out with a loan and many did have that specific requirement, to get a preferential rate of interest or the first three months interest free for example.
If that was the case then it was neither a lie nor mis-sold as if you didn't take the PPI you couldn't have the loan.

Your credit score despite being excellent is in no way taken into account for a loan, your credit history is whats taken into account.
