So glad you've gone home Gers, it'll help to heal your spirit.
TA, wouldn't be Bolognese bake tonight would it? It's lovely that the girls are staying after all these months. Our boiler has been on borrowed time for over a year now, and we're going to get it replaced during the summer. More money to fork out.
There's shopping to do, not a lot though. I've just heard the washer playing its tune to say it's finished so I'll pop off and put it out.

Hello all.I was MIA yesterday for no reason other that I was trying to get to grips with my new phone. It''s a bit different than my old one so thank goodness Mr Fix It is here to sort it out and put all the apps on. I couldn't have done it on my own as I'm not very tech minded and even now he's adding more apps by the hour. Apparently I need them ? I'm also awaiting a case for it as it slips through my fingers a bit too easily because of my shaky left hand. The lawn mowing didn't happen yesterday either as we had rain, so that's penciled in for Monday now. Today I shall be cooking up some beef mince in the slow cooker and making a crumble or two with the fruit left in the fruit bowl. There are some plums that have finally ripened but taste of nothing and a couple of wrinkly apples, I'll add some summer fruits from the freezer to bulk it out. Maybe a cottage pie for tea or a spag bol, I haven't made a decision yet.Gers I too raised a cuppa to Mum yesterday and I see that a visit home has happened. It will probably all feel strange for a while.Bella boo! - hooray! in equal amounts for you. Things do happen for a reason sometimes.RedRuby I'll be on the decks as usual at the spa. Any requests ?TA I too have the delight of an overnight stay with the DGC, but on Friday. Enjoy the bol bake and the chaosDumpling well done you.Right another coffee now using my 'van kettle as the other one is still in the appliance hospital, then I'll make a start, promise.Take care allnan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12

Afternoon everyone
No sunshine yet - just North Sea fog - hopefully it will burn off at some point - probably 8 o'clock tonight!
Still took little one for a ride on the bus and a visit to the park which she loved. She sat next to me on the bus proudly announcing 'this is my ticket 'every 2 minutes. The park is one I used to take my girls too years ago - then there was a slide, a couple of swings and a rocking rocket. Now there's areas for little and big children - slides, swings, rockers, roundabouts..... all sorts of different play equipment - little one especially loved a trampoline set into the ground. We spent a good hour or so there.
She's having her nap now and then DD is picking her up about 3.30. I was hoping to start my new book, sitting out in the sun ....we'll see.
.Gers - glad you got home - it will do you good I'm sure.
Dumpling - well done getting out yesterday.
TA - enjoy your grand daughters tonight - I love being a granny!
Hope everyone has a good day8 -
I decided that the cloakroom floor needed the sort of wash that can only be done on my knees - what a struggle to get up! Mop and bucket from now on.
Lovely day here.
Staying in after the shopping trip yesterday as I still feel tired. At least we are not being disturbed by squirrels now - I think the pest control men will be taking away a couple of bodies. I do like squirrels but I had given them plenty of time to find alternative accommodation.
Want to go to Church tomorrow so need to rest up.
