HSBC status "Decision obtained" meaning

Options
Hi all.
My husband and I applied for an HSBC mortgage in full online today, and after finalising the application but before submitting supporting docs via the secure link, we saw the status "Decision obtained".

This is very frustrating as they have not reviewed payslips/contract yet .

The customer service line said they do not have access to the text of the decision, it is posted to us, but it is not available to view under "my documents".

Does it mean we failed some automated credit check? Or there is still hope?

Very sufficient income, 20% LTV, flat is share of freehold with leasehold, and there was not option to choose mix, so went for leasehold type in the drop down list, 106 years remaining.
We are HSBC customers, have their cred cards, never missed a payment....

Sorry, meant 80% LTV and 20% deposit.

@dianak91h I don't know how it works direct but did you get an accepted DIP (decision in principle) prior to submitting the full application?

Yes, and we are asking £55000 less than the maximum amount they offered in the AIP.

@dianak91h I've never had an instant HSBC decline on full application after a positive DIP so hopefully it's just the way the status is worded rather than an actual decline.

Is there anything in your circumstances or credit history that you are particularly worried about?

Did the customer service person actually say that they've sent out a letter to you?

    Thank you for your response.
Yes, customer services said the letter had been sent out, and we received the prev AIPs by post too, but they were also available in electronic format.

Nothing bad in the credit history, maybe had an unarranged overdraft for 2 days in 2018 (5£ per day). But all the credit card payment paid in time, phone contracts, rent, etc.

I worry because I always worry, and just was so stressed to see such wording even before the docs were sent to them.

I know my income will not be counted as I am on the FTC, but we provided the same details in the AIP, so it should be fine (his earning is enough for the sum we are asking) .

This question has come up before on here:
It doesn't look to be inherently negative it is just a step in the process...
