What to do with suspected fake goods

I bought a PS4 controller online. It arrived today and I noticed it had a rough badly finished edge on it. After researching online it would appear that it is not genuine. I bought it from a large wellish known retailer. What should my next steps be? I don't want the item even if it does work. The price was almost the same as Argos (unfortunately they were out of stock) so I did not expect a dodgy knock off

Check their return procedure and follow it. Fake or not you have a right to return within 14 days if delivery when buying online.

I have just requested a return due to 'not as described' and am awaiting a response. If I wanted a fake one I could have got one much cheaper.
