It then banged away every time she had a shower or ran water.I tried mentioning it to her but as all was working for her and it cost nothing she wasn't prepared to get a plumber in even though it was a small job.I agree too that it could be a water pump. There is one installed here that makes a racket but only while the shower is running.Bungalows are notoriously bad for noise transmission and shared wall more so, so it's probably nothing she has done deliberately.Have you spoken about it to her politely and invited her in to hear it?twopenny said:My semi detached neighbours son in law 'worked' on her ballcock in the attic water tank. worried123 said:Many thanks for your replies - much appreciated. I suppose the only chance of a solution has to be telling her about the noise.
thanks again.
We have nasties similar to the woman next door to you. They had a ventilator fan fitted in the bathroom right up against the wall between them and us. Shoddy job as it sounds like a plane setting off each time it's turned on. We've tried speaking to them about it but it's all our fault and we shouldn't let it bother us apparently. Imagine that noise at 3am. Wakes the whole house up.
You just can't reason with some people but wishing you the best.1 -
