Halifax Rewards Account and Premium Bond

I've tried searching for this and can't find anything conclusive...
Has anyone with the Rewards Account with Halifax bought Premium Bonds at £500 per month in order to qualify for the £5 monthly reward?
Thanks

I think others have deposited money into other NS&I products.
If you deposit via debit card, it'll work

As per the multiple other threads on this subject - any cleared debit card spend will count towards the requirement. Halifax doesn't seem to care where the money goes, just that your debit card has been used to make cumulative payments of £500/month. If you buy PBs with your debit card then you'll meet the requirements for the monthly reward.0

I'm sure I've read of others doing this, I certainly have.
