for prinitng supplies etc but not sure how I would present those in the costs assessment + what evidence I'd need.
Put in an estimated/nominal figure (don't over-egg it) stating what the stationery/printing costs of your Defence, WS, Evidence and any other sundries were (if in fact you had to print these rather than submit electronically). Let the Judge decide. If he knocks them on the head, I'm sure it won't leave you in financial ruin, but if you don't ask, you don't get.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Is this an in-person or remote hearing?

Are you currently unemployed? If not are you taking vacation to attend the hearing? (I'm curious why you don't believe there is any entitlement to fixed costs for attending the hearing ... if you're salaried and you're taking time away from work for the hearing then that is a fixed cost which is normally reimbursed at £95 per day or £47.50 per half day).

    It's a remote hearing.

I'm not currently working and not receiving benefits either, but savings put me marginally over the threshold, meaning I had to pay the set-aside fee last year. That's the main cost I'm seeking to get back.

Would the estimate for stationery/printing be included under the header of 'Further costs pursuant to CPR 46.5'?

The six hours I have for litigant-in-person are defined in my costs schedule as 'Research, preparation and drafting documents'.

I've also hand-delivered my defence/WS/evidence documents to the Court each time, because at the telephone set-aside hearing, the judge didn't actually have some of the documents I'd sent in by email. I didn't want to risk a repeat of that for the main hearing, so in total that'll be three trips over to the court with associated fuel costs - could I reasonably add an estimate of those costs alongside the stationery/printing ones?

Yes.  Add all reasonable costs you incurred, in a thorough breakdown.  And yes, they fall under  'Further costs pursuant to CPR 46.5'?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Many thanks, that'll be very helpful if ParkingMad can remember who you helped with their costs hearing before so I can read through the thread.

    Was it @Eminowa

@tommoCF You should be able to edit the title of your thread if you want to. Something like 'Costs hearing after discontinuance' might be more relevant.
